Who we are
SupporterTV is an unofficial third-party Patreon client for Apple TV. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Patreon, Inc. The app is operated by the developer credited on its App Store listing.
What we collect
SupporterTV collects the minimum information required to connect your Apple TV to your Patreon account and play the videos you have access to:
- A short-lived activation code generated when you pair your Apple TV.
- A Patreon OAuth access token and refresh token, stored securely on your Apple TV's Keychain after activation completes.
- Diagnostic crash logs provided by Apple's standard reporting (only if you opt in via tvOS settings).
We do not collect your name, email address, payment details, or pledge amounts. All creator data, posts, and videos are fetched directly from Patreon's API by the app.
How we use Patreon tokens
Your Patreon access token is used solely to fetch your feed and stream videos you already have access to. It is never shared with third parties or used for analytics or advertising.
Where data lives
During the brief activation flow, your access token is held server-side just long enough for your Apple TV to retrieve it (typically a few seconds). It is then permanently deleted from our servers and stored only on your Apple TV's Keychain.
Pending activation codes that are not used within 10 minutes are automatically expired and deleted.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The only third-party service the app communicates with is Patreon's official API.
Your choices
You can revoke SupporterTV's access at any time from your Patreon account's connected apps page. Signing out of the app on your Apple TV deletes the stored access token from your device immediately.
Children
SupporterTV is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy we will revise the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app on next launch.
